Malkmus Commits To Finlandia

    Topeka Capitals forward Tommy Malkmus has committed to play for the Finlandia University Lions of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA). Malkmus joins fellow Capitals Jude Hull (St. Olaf) and Connor Nicholas (St. Mary's) as players who have earned commitments following the team's successful inaugural campaign.

    "We are extremely happy for Tommy and the Malkmus family," said Capitals head coach Anthony Bohn. "He is a top notch hockey player and even a better person. Tommy is one of the hardest working players i've come across and we know he will have success in his 4 years at Finlandia. We wish him best of luck next season."

    Arriving late in the season y way of the Bismarck Bobcats, Malkmus made an immediate impact with 22 points (14 goals, eight assists) in only eight regular season games. He would go on to add another two goals and three assists in the South Division Finals aainst Dallas.
