Alex Johanson grabbed one point to lead Atlanta to a 6-1 victory over Evansville.

Atlanta's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Evansville power plays. Atlanta's offense rang up 50 shots on Evansville's net.

Others who scored for Atlanta included Evan Camba, who had two and Artus LaukaitisJesse Brown, and Colin OConnor, who each put in one.

 More assists for Atlanta came via Riley HummitschKyle RimbachSteve MacIverFrank Trazzera, and Ryan Dumond, who each chipped in one and Philip PuglieseDrake Cartwright, and Dylan Wattles, who contributed two each.

Evansville was led by Brandon Rozema, who scored the team's only goal. Rozema scored 14:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zach Faith assisted on the tally.

Alekandr Zendejas made 21 saves for Atlanta on 22 shots. Atlanta incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Adam Conkling rejected 44 shots on goal for Evansville. Evansville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.  

“Our effort is what separated us tonight, its impressive when a group of guys can play for one another. It’s a good start to the second half and now we have to keep moving forward. Today’s game is an entirely different animal and we have to make the choice to attack it the same way” said Head Coach Anthony Bohn.
