CAPS EXPLODE FOR 11 GOALS IN 10TH STRAIGHT

Atlanta's Artus Laukaitis had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 11-3 win over Sugar Land.

Laukaitis found the back of the net on the power play 14:53 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Atlanta and again while 2:00 into the second to make the score 4-2 Atlanta.

Sugar Land fell victim to a deadly Atlanta power play, which ripped Sugar Land for six goals on 11 chances.

Atlanta forced Sugar Land's goalies to work without much rest, taking 45 shots and forcing 34 saves. Kevin Mackey made 20 stops and Daniel Mignault made 14. Atlanta surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Atlanta has scored at the pace of 6.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

 Atlanta also got points from Kyle Rimbach, who also racked up one goal and four assists and Philip Pugliese, who also registered two goals and two assists. Atlanta also got a goal from Alex Johanson as well. More assists for Atlanta came via Aleksi Hoivala and Jack Cleaver, who contributed one each and Drew KellyBear RossRyan Dumond, and Colin OConnor, who each chipped in two.

 Sugar Land racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 15 minors and one major for 85 minutes in penalty time. Sugar Land surpassed its season average of 28.0 penalty minutes per game. Atlanta's defense shut down Sugar Land's forwards for much of the game, and Sugar Land got off only 11 shots during the contest.
