In a game that featured four lead changes, Point Mallard had the final say in a 6-4 victory over Atlanta.
Justin Clark was all over the ice for Point Mallard, as he grabbed four goals in the win. Clark's first goal came 4:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:45 into the second, at 11:10 into the second, and at 19:19 into the third.
Point Mallard also got points from Jake Cox, who also registered one goal and two assists and Stephen Coulter, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Point Mallard were Matt Goodman, who had two and Justin Dunn and Jake Champaign, who contributed one each.
Atlanta's offense operated below its season average. Atlanta averages 6.2 goals per game.
Atlanta was helped by Alex Johanson, who had two goals and one assist. Johanson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Atlanta had taken the advantage when Point Mallard's Coulter got sent off for tripping. Kyle Rimbach picked up the assist. Johanson's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 5:45 left in the second period. Atlanta had gotten the advantage when Point Mallard's Matt Darnell was sent off for interference. Artus Laukaitis provided the assist. Atlanta additionally got points from Laukaitis, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Atlanta also got a goal from Philip Pugliese as well.
