CAPS MOVE TO 3-0 ON THE WEEKEND

Alex Johanson racked up two points to lead Atlanta to a 3-0 victory over Texas.

Atlanta put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Texas to score on any of its three power plays. Atlanta's defensive play was more effective than usual against Texas. Atlanta averages 2.6 goals allowed per game. Atlanta's offense rang up 33 shots on Texas' net. In the last 3 games Atlanta has not allowed a goal.  

Others who scored for Atlanta included Philip Pugliese and Artus Laukaitis, who scored one goal each. More assists for Atlanta came via Drew Kelly,Riley Hummitsch, and Colin OConnor, who contributed one each.

Texas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Texas could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Texas averages 3.0 goals per game.

Atlanta's Alekandr Zendejas stopped 17 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Atlanta incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Brandon Perrone made 30 saves for Texas on 33 shots.
