NHL GUESTS AT CAPS PRACTICE

Aug 28, 2015

The Capitals players were surprised this week by a few NHL guests. First, was Nigel Kirwan, of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nigel has been the Video coach for the Lightning for over 20 years and is one of the longest tenured video coaches in the National Hockey League and Stanley Cup Champion in 2004 with the Lightning. "Having such an experienced coach around our players has been great, we are very thankful to have someone of his caliber on the ice with our guys" said Head Coach Anthony Bohn.

The next up was Anson Carter, he played over 10 years in the National Hockey League and overseas. Carter spoke to the players about how to be a pro and his enthusiasm for the growth of the sport in Atlanta. "Having both of these professionals wanting to be involved with the Capitals speaks volumes of their genuine love of the sport, we are just grateful to have our players exposed to this kind of support" said Bohn.
