In what was a banner weekend for the new franchise, the Capitals took the first game with ease then came in early this morning to blank the visiting Junior Stars to seal their first series sweep 4-0.

The first win in franchise history and a league record for attendance with 1,502 fans equals a pretty successful opener for the Caps as they routed the Junior Stars 7-1.
