During the second, Klintworth answered for the Capitals with a goal at 9:17 with assists from his linemates, Medure and Steh. Johnson quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:29 with helpers from his linemates, Ladzinski and Nielsen. Carlo netted a goal at 17:46 with assists from Klintworth and Rusakov.
During the third period, Klintworth put in a goal at 0:25.
Atlanta’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Konin’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. On the other hand, Konin’s counterpart, Myers, and Texas’ defense was beaten a few times stopping only 19 of 23 shots.
This win brings the Atlanta Capitals’ record to (25-11-1-1).
