The Capitals crushed the Jr. Stars 7-2

The Atlanta Capitals' offense had a big night, peppering the Euless Jr. Stars with 40 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead late in the first on a goal from Ivan Mikhailov and never looked back.

Boomer Miller chipped in with 2 goals and Joseph Lajcaj had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Miller opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 2:25 with helpers from his teammates Figi and Vannelli. Miller deposited a goal at 14:52 with an assist from fellow Capitals forward Minaev. Mikhailov quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:49 with helpers from Minaev and Klintworth. Medure put in a goal at 19:33 with assists from his linemates, Lajcaj and Mikhailov.

During the second period, Lajcaj scored a goal at 8:13 with helpers from Medure and Klintworth. Caesar finally put the Jr. Stars on the board with a goal at 14:54 with an assist from Wilson.

In the third, Figi answered for the Capitals with a goal at 9:37 with helpers from his linemates, Brown and Mikhailov. Harrison answered for Euless with a goal at 11:54 with an assist from Sheridan. Koehler answered for Atlanta with a goal at 14:20 with a helper from Dale.

The Capitals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Monear as he stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced. Monear’s counterpart, Kerner, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 40, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Atlanta Capitals’ record to (40-10-0-1)
