Nolan Bivolcic came up big, stopping 39 of 41 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead early in the third on a goal from Dillon Steh.
Sascha Figi had a busy night with 2 goals and Jesse Brown contributed with 2 assists.
In the first, Figi opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 3:22 with a helper from his linemate Brown.
During the second, Figi netted a goal at 8:55 with assists from teammates Vannelli and Brown. Sereno finally put the Jets on the board with a goal at 13:57 with helpers from his linemates, Day and Newel.
In the third, Steh answered for the Capitals with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:04 with an assist from Ladzinski. Distelrath answered for Metro with a goal at 6:17 with a helper from defenseman Flannery.
Atlanta’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Bivolcic’s big night as he stopped 39 of the 41 shots he faced. On the other hand, Bivolcic’s counterpart, Gwillim, and the Jets’ defense did not have such a great night allowing 3 goals in 17 shots.
This win brings the Atlanta Capitals’ record to (42-12-0-1).
