Wyatt Monear posted a shutout, stopping all 17 of the College Station Spirit shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead early in the first on a goal from Sascha Figi and never looked back. Boomer Miller had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Sascha Figi chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first, Figi opened the scoring for Atlanta with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:15 with helpers from his linemates, Miller and Carlo. Miller netted a goal at 15:34 with helpers from his linemates, Brown and Figi.
During the second, Dale scored a goal at 11:38 with assists from teammates Cichy and Koehler. Steh deposited a goal at 14:47 with assists from Medure and Lajcaj.
In the third period, Poliseno put in a goal at 0:47 with helpers from Monear and Klintworth. Medure netted a goal at 4:10 with assists from Mikhailov and Vannelli. Klintworth scored a goal at 14:14 with helpers from Gridley and Mikhailov.
Atlanta’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Monear’s shutout, as he stopped all 17 of the shots he faced. Monear’s counterpart, O’toole, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 48, but ultimately fell short.
