After sweeping Sugar Land to end what has been a dominant first season in existence, the Capitals continue to earn honors from the league as Alex Sauer has been named the Easton South Division Star of the Week. Kole Hudson was named the 2nd Star for his efforts during the weekend as well.rnrn

Now the real work begins. Forty-five games in the books and the Capitals head into the South Divisional Playoffs as the regular season division champion with a lot of momentum, capping off the season finale with their 10th straight win 7-1 over the Sugar Land Imperials.rn

The final tune-up series before the playoffs begin started without a hitch as Topeka led the whole way towards a 4-1 victory over Sugar Land.

A tie game in the first blossomed into a 6-3 win for the Capitals in game one of a three game set in Topeka Friday afternoon.

In their inaugural season, the Topeka Capitals have clinched first-place in the South Division after their sweep of the Sugar Land Imperials this weekend.

Topeka grabs four out of a possible six points in the standings to take a 25 point lead in the South.

The Capitals will be represented on the South Division team by forwards Hardijis Kupaks and Kole Hudson, defenseman Nick Rizzo, and goaltender Jude Hull.
